  : In my 5 months of travel this was my worst stay. Made my 4 hostel in Turkey feel like the Ritz.
  : Don't be fooled by the white bed sheets and sea view that first entice you, lurking within those walls are BEDBUGS. I was tricked into staying only to awake with insatiable itches. On not being able to ignore what felt like my body burning with itch, I turned the lights on to find a bedbug beside me. Fat off my blood. Horrified. I moved all my clothing into the bathtub. On further examination I found a whole family (7) of bedbugs in my bed. All differing sizes. I did not sleep a wink that night. Upon telling Marcos that I found bedbugs in my bed he responded with "I'm sorry to hear". When he finally arrived at the hotel midday he advised me to go to the pharmacy. Explaining that they often have bedbug outbreaks and they had attempted to rid bedbugs of the room I stayed in only a couple weeks prior. Clearly not doing a very good job of it. Marcos' tone switched completely from being likeable to outright unpleasant. Calling me unfair when I asked for reimbursement for the antihistamines (9.40) and the washing load (8) I had to pay for in consequence of the bedbugs. Claiming I did not need to wash my clothes even though he was aware I would be leaving to stay at other hotels after this and therefore potentially carrying his bedbugs along with me. I left unhappy, skin inflamed and having wasted my whole morning sat at the laundrettes waiting for all my belongings to be hopefully disinfected. I binned my boar bristle brush and my sleeping bag in fear these would be the most likely to harbour my new friends. Marcos even attempted to buy my silence, saying he would refund my stay only if I stayed quiet about the incident. The incident being my blood being sucked from my body while I slept by bedbugs. I implore don't stay here, it's not worth the hassle. Even a park bench is better. It has been about around a month since my stay and I still have scarring from the bites. I massed 39 bites over my entire body.
