  : Great location but would need a car to get to town 10 mins away. Amazing view over the hills out to the ocean. Stone house was fabulous and great private pool with front lawn grass area that was all very private. The property manager left a large bowl of fruit and bought us some fresh bread the next morning which was lovely. The photos on the website doesnt do it justice. Ideal for four of us adults to stay. Would happily stay here again
  : Small issues but would make a big difference. Lacking in basic kitchen facilities eg cutting knives were so blunt we couldnt cut a loaf of bread . No toaster. Also lacking in bed facilitieswe had to search to find a blanket and found two for four of us to share. Lastly we had to ring the property manager three times to find out how things worked eg wifi, air conditioning required all doors to be shut to work and the need to put the key in a hole inside the front door for power. As non Europe travellers these functions are new to us . A basic instruction info sheet left in the house explaining these things would have helped a lot.

  : The location of Hilltop Villa is very nice, it's spacious and quiet, if you don't mind the sound of the cicadas during the day, house itself is beautifully built. The Pool has sunshine until the evening and was very clean. There is air conditioning in every room.
  : After booking the host sent an email proposing to send instructions, but it never happened. We had to call upon arrival and were told that the key is on the door of the villa. We had to call again to ask how we switch on the electricity. The host was responsive, but did not make any efforts to make us feel welcome, I got the impression that the concept is clearly for business, a cleaning-lady takes care of the house and the host is not really aware of the details in the house. Overall we found the interior functional, with the exception of the neon light in one bathroom not working, and flickering in a second bathroom. We found everything we need, but of the most basic quality, which didn't match our expectations when booking the "exclusive" villa. There was a bad smell in the bathrooms that persisted over our 3-day stay, also the cupboards in the kitchen stronlgy smelled of mold. We mentioned this to the owner who replied that the villa had been empty for 20 days and that the cleaning lady changed the cleaning product, recommending that we should ventilate the house. Overall the host was ok friendly, but not proactively making any efforts and trying to downplay our worries. The first night we got many mosquitos and the host brought us an old electric mosquito trap in response, with blue light, but a broken fan inside, so it didn't work and we had to buy an additional mosquito trap ourselves in town. The next day the host asked how it was, I reported that we bought an addtional one, he respondes "so the problem was solved!". There are no mosquito nets on the windows, even tough I assume it's not a new problem.We saw the host again only on checkout day at 11, when he informed us to please hurry up and leave, because the cleaning lady was scheduled for 11.30. He offered, however that we could spend the afternoon at the pool of another villa.
