  : Viking Cottage (#16) truly felt like a little home away from home. The private hot tub, easy to fill, added a delightful touch to the cozy atmosphere. Despite its small size, the cottage didn't feel cramped, offering brilliant views of Akureyri and the fjord each morning. Its proximity to Akureyri centre and Forest Lagoon, just a few minutes' drive away, made it convenient.The cooking facilities were a definite plus for longer stays, helping to keep costs down. The setting, with snowfall transforming it into a beautiful wintery wonderland, enhanced the overall experience. However, it's worth noting that the hot tub, while a nice touch, can lose heat rapidly in below-zero temperatures. This hot tub is not the same as a jacuzzi, so no bubbles etc!The one-bedroom setup might be a bit snug, and the other room feels more like a storage area. Still, the cottage provides a washing machine with laundry detergent, a small but well-equipped kitchen, and a mini-fridge, which suffices for short stays. The availability of good WiFi is another positive aspect.One caveat is the necessity of having a car, given the cottage's location. Despite these considerations, Viking Cottage #16 offers a charming and comfortable retreat with thoughtful amenities.

  : The view was beautiful!Great shower and really clean throughout. Easy check in/out
  : The kitchen sink was cracked and leaked badly. Despite highlighting this to the owner along with the inability for us to wash the dishes, it was not repaired, preventing us from using self-catering facilities and needing to purchase disposable plates, etc Also, around 7 pm on the night of our wedding anniversary, a plumber arrived to upgrade the hot tub, which disturbed our plans and prevented us from using the hot tub The bedroom was really squashed, meaning that one person had to climb over the other to get out of bed..

  : I did like the interior design it is very comfortable and very warm in the cold country which is Iceland the kitchen has all the required equipment to cook, I made burgers while I was there and it was great the bed is very large and comfortable.
  : A lot of the lights dont work correctly and flicker which is quite frustrating, and there is a ladder to the bedroom and when your drunk is very dangerous.

  : Fantastic location with beautiful views, especially from the bedroom. Had everything we needed for a couple of nights. Very fairly priced for Iceland. Warm, cosy, and a great place to come home to do after a long day exploring.
  : The apartment itself was well fitted out, but compact. If we stayed again we'd probably stay in one of the bigger properties so we had more space to relax.
