  : Easy entry to the property using the provided code and lockbox. It was easy to contact staff at the property via the Booking.com message system and WhatsApp. The apartment was modern, well designed and generally well-equipped for a short stay (apart from the horribly uncomfortable bed, which I will describe in the "dislike"section). We liked the design of the bathroom and separate large walk-in shower. The cleaning and maintenance staff we met whilst at the property were very helpful, professional and polite and they did all try their best (under difficult circumstances) to resolve the issues which we experienced during our stay. However, it was difficult for them to deal with unhappy guests, as it seems that the property owners had instructed maintenance staff to attempt to fix items which were unfixable, instead of replacing them. Vilches Parking: Parking at the property was full during our stay, and staff suggested we use Vilches Parking Garage, which was absolutely excellent. We called them when we arrived in Almeria, and they arranged for a staff member to meet us at the parking garage. They sold us an in/out car-park pass, which worked out much cheaper than any other parking options (including the onsite parking at the accommodation). The longer you stay, the lower the daily fee. We actually ended up staying in Almeria for a few more days after we left this property, but we called Vilches Parking, and they extended our pass for a few more days, which made our stay even cheaper (I think it worked out around 6 Euros per day for 7 days parking).
  : We were perturbed to find that there was blood on one of our bedsheets, and a waterproof mattress cover with yellow stains. The hosts immediately sent cleaning staff who were very apologetic & changed all our bedding, but it was not a good start to our stay. The lounge and kitchen area look out on an interior patio, and therefore there is not much natural light in the apartment. HORRIBLE, UNCOMFORTABLE BED! It was a small double and so uncomfortable that we did not sleep much and we felt exhausted with aching backs during our whole stay. The bed frame was broken in the middle, and trying to sleep on it felt like clinging to the side of a cliff to stop falling into a hole. Upon investigation, it seemed that the bed had been previously broken and "fixed" with 2 pieces of wood (which appeared to be doors from kitchen cabinets) and which had been screwed onto the bedframe. After our first night, we asked the hosts if they had a different apartment with a more comfortable bed. Instead of moving us, or supplying a comfortable bed, they sent a maintenance man, who had been instructed to "fix" the broken bed. He replaced the 2 wooden cabinet doors with 2 differently-sized and differently-mounted cabinet doors (screwed horizontally across the bedframe instead of vertically). The bed remained torturous and the only way to sleep was for one of us to sleep in the middle of the bed, and the other to request extra sheets to sleep on the sofa in the living room. It is disappointing that the owners of this property do not seem to care about the comfort of their guests. However we were on vacation and did not wish to waste our time arguing. So.. we completed our stay and then moved to a hotel, which was the same price, but offered beautiful views & a comfortable bed, so we could catch up on our sleep and ease our aching backs. We do not plan to ever return to this accommodation, and we would definitely not recommend it to others.
