Villa Salis

A former tavern of the Rein Monastery the traditional Villa Salis enjoys views of the mountains of the Ausserland Region. It is located in the centre of Altaussee and offers historic accommodation and a restaurant. The elegant country-style rooms are all fitted individually with extensive use of traditional hand-carved wooden furniture. They feature cable TV and a bathroom.

Villa Salis’s Berndl Restaurant is made up of several typical Alpine dining rooms some of them featuring open fireplaces or stoves. It specializes in fish specialities and traditional Austrian cuisine. Cross-country skiing trails and the ski bus stop to the Loser ski area which is approximately 2 km away are available just in front of the Villa. The shores of Ausseersee Lake can be reached within 5 minutes’ walk.

A wellness area can be used in a partner hotel against a surcharge. It can be reached by car in 5 minutes.
