  : owner was a little flighty - she called the morning we were going to check in to ask if we could delay until 4. we said yes and killed time until then - but she didn’t actually show until 4:30. it’s all fine, but just not what two tired travelers needed at that point in the day.

  : we booked this hotel on Booking, when we arrived, 8pm, with heavy raining outside, no one opened the door, called the number on the door, no one pickup, left messages, after a while, the owner called back, said no idea if there's a room available for us, even we've already booked successfully online. then , after 30 minutes she appeared. finally we got a room, that's the room you can see. all over dust and dirt, smell bad, the sheets are dirt, you can tell they are not fresh at all, pillows are smelly too, hard to breathe, but at such a raining night, we basically no where to go. oh, the bathroom, is as tiny as you can see in a small RV, the shower cannot be adjusted, and points to a strange direction, so you have to shower in a difficult position. terrible experience and sleepless night.

  : Amherst Inn is in a good location, within a few blocks from the city center (bars, cinema, restaurants).
  : The mismatch between price and quality is outstanding—leaning to the negative side. For $200, in a B&B, we should expect more than a standard hotel, which is not the case. Example: for breakfast all the four bananas on display were blacked, and the mandarine dry (one of them black outside).

  : It was a nice place, quiet, and clean. The room had comfortable furniture and a large comfortable bed. The bathroom was clean with appropriate amenities. The breakfast was filling and good.I left my car parked at the B and B and could walk where ever I wanted to go. The Emily Dickinson Museum is across from the Inn. You can walk from the Inn a short way up the street and find restaurants, taverns, and shops. Ann, the proprietor was very nice.
