  : On arrival the keys are in a security box, the code is given beforehand. A pint of milk was left in the fridge for us, handy after a long journey. There is a small array of tea and coffee sachets. There's a fridge with a freezer. There's SKY tv, which is awesome as it then feels like home from home, which a vacation should. A washing machine plus a dog bowl are useful well thought out touches. The rear garden is enclosed but do make sure you shut the front gate first as you can access the rear via the side of the house. The house faces west, which looks over scrolling fields, this also means you can sit outside the front on the bench and watch the sunset. The fields are also accessible to the public, so perfect for dog walking or a quick stroll. it has heating, plus an open fire/log burner. logs and coal were not provided, but i left some for the next person..... enjoy !!There's both a bath and a shower, and enough hot water to use both. Parking is outside the front of the house on the road, however, due to the location not much traffic passes so i felt comfortable doing this. it took us around 10-15 minutes to drive to Buxton from the cottage. The nearest pub was a 3 minute drive away selling basic pub food. A beautiful cottage in a remote location, for those who wish to have peace and quiet. At night time you can literally just hear the wildlife !!
  : I wish there was a section for "constructive criticism" but there isnt, so I'll just have to put this here.... I feel the mattresses need to be updated, all of them are approximately 5 inches thick, very hard and quite frankly uncomfortable. The bedding is also thin, so taking an extra blanket is advisable. This does not affect the property, as quite frankly its amazing and one of the best Ive stayed in, just please update the mattresses as a good nights sleep is paramount !!
