  : The staff were welcoming, the room very clean, the location was convenient as a stop-over during our homeward journey
  : We have stayed at this hotel before, about 5 years ago so were happy to book again as Auxaire is a stunning, if a bit neglected, town. However, when we arrived, the exterior of the hotel was a building site, covered in scaffolding with large holes and trenches dug in the ground and temporary fencing to stop people falling into them. When we checked in (on a Sunday), the receptionist informed us that building work was due to commence again at 8.30am the next day so hopefully we'd be out of our room by then. Good job too, because there was a scaffold platform directly outside our room. To say it was a depressing end to our holiday would be an understatement and I only wish Booking.com would be upfront with their description of hotels if there is work being done, so members can make an informed decision as to whether to stay there or choose another hotel - which we certainly would have done had we known the state of this Ibis hotel was in at the time. I certainly didn't feel like a Booking Genius on this occasion
