  : room was much bigger than I anticipated. clean and had everything needed. very close to everything. clean, very friendly staff.
  : parking was a bit far away (although not a problem for me) I couldve paid extra to park on site, but my rather big car would have had trouble navigating.

  : I must admit that when we pulled up to this hotel I was questioning my decision. It was very modest from the outside and the inside was like walking into your grandma's house. I was rolling my eyes at my friends as if to say -- sorry! BUT we were totally won over. We were here 2 nights. The wonderful, warm, terrific lady running this hotel couldn't be nicer. It was a warm day and we arrived by bicycle. She gave us all a liter of water as we checked in. But she is so special that even the hotel's quirks become endearing. I had room #4 which had a balcony but the tiniest bathroom ever. It is west-facing so it had tons of (in this case HOT) afternoon sun. My friends had the suite - not sure of the room number...6? One night we made dinner in their little kitchenb and ate on the balcony in the warm evening, Lovely!!! Fast wifi. I had to do on-line mapping for our bicycle trip and maps take a lot of bandwidth - and it was fast. Breakfast was a pleasant surprise of our own plate of cold cuts, yogurt, cheese etc, basket of warm bread, juice, coffee -- and then Mrs. Nguyen gave us plastic bags for all our left-overs from breakfast. This isn't a fancy place but very well located and we now refer to us as our stay at Grandma's (even thought Mrs. Nguyen is way younger than we are!!!)
  : Hard to find a plug to charge anything!!! One in the bathroom and one by the door. Tiny bathroom, smallish room.

  : My stay was short-notice. I was warmly welcomed by the owner who then took care of payment and creating my guest card, was very polite and accomodating to my needs. The interieur is to be expected from a older German townhouse, my room was small but very comfortable. I will definitely come again to stay at Hotel Humboldt.
