Minffordd Bala

  : Bala is a very quiet town, in the middle of a beautiful area and sitting right next to a lake. There were plenty of wonderful local places to eat, and the pastry shop right around the corner was exceptional. The manager provided very easy and clear directions on where to park, and the house had everything that we needed. The beds were comfortable.
  : We really have no complaints at all, this is just something to be aware of. My son was sleeping in the attic room and he is 6 foot tall. The ceiling is lower over the stairs so be cautious... you could hit your head. There was a washing machine there (EXCELLENT) and there was a line out back to hang the clothes. The only complaint (and its a small one), is the clothes pins were plastic and a bit older, and they kept breaking... but that is seriously not a big concern... these are just things to be aware of.

  : Location was great. Double bed really comfy. Log burner great.
  : Single beds felt as if some springs had gone. Radiators not functional in kitchen, small bedroom which meant we were cold in bed on first night, however used blankets off other bed and then fine. Owner did say he would come out to look the next day but we managed. Guide says a supply of logs would be left but none there and needed to go and get toilet rolls almost immediately. Very small criticisms but small things matter.

  : The location of Minffordd was excellent as it is right in the town, so within a couple of minutes walk to shops or eating out. The house was clean and comfortable with a decent shower room.
  : I was relying on the Wifi to download video footage I'd be taking each day from trips out but it didn't work for the whole time we were there. The TV must have been linked to the Wifi as that didn't work either. The owner called BT, but there was no impetus to get it sorted quickly for us, and no offer of a small reimbursement as a token gesture.
