  : We stayed in the Loft which was spacious and had a great view down the valley. The pool area and pool were a great place to cool down after a hot day of sightseeing and travel .
  : The AC struggled to reduce the temperature and the fans were a bit noisy. We managed the temperature by using the shutters and curtains to keep the heat out.

  : The studioVery nice and spacious studio with a great bed, sort of a small living room area, clean bathroom and a little terrace just in front. Good towels also. View from the studio and terrace overlooks the mountains on the other side of the valley and from the terrace youre perfectly situated to watch either the sun- and/or moonrise (or both if the timings right).The property and the peopleMuch larger than anticipated actually - in a good way - with a couple of specially designated areas. A hillside art walk, a pool with awesome views and nice sunbeds, and a little oasis-like part with more sculptures, chairs and hammocks. Annddd a dog and a cat. Very friendly, welcoming and attentive staff also.The areaBeautiful scenery and nature, very calm (as in theres not many people) Portalegre is only 20 min or so by car as is Marvao so theres plenty to do and explore in the area.

  : The Quinta do Barrieiro is a special place: the domain on which it is located is large, with its own water sources, a pond, a beautiful pool and of course the sculpture garden. The domain provides great spots to watch the surrounding area (Marvoa, the pico da Soa Mamede) and the night sky: during clear nights without moonlight, you'll see the milky way as you haven't seen it before. The swimming pool area is superb: beautiful views over the area, a lot of chairs, shade from tress and beach umbrella's... Perfect holiday spot. The location is great, with Marvao +/-20 minutes away by car, the top of the Sao Mameda +/-15 minutes, and other nice towns in the same range. The quinta provides ample parking space (but the access to the parking is slightly challenging).
  : Breakfast is brought to each room/holiday home on the domain. That gives everyone a lot of freedom to eat whenever they want, but you don't encounter the other guests or owners that easily. As a result, you never have an overview of how many guests stay in the domain.

  : It has a special charm. It seems to be in the middle of nowhere, up a mountain in a dense forest. The room is a little above basic but has a relaxing impact on a traveler. Even during a rainy day, the property is enchanting. There is a nice bathroom, small kitchenette, living room with a step-up sleeping area with angelwings on the wall. A nice artistic touch.
  : It was a ways from the nearest town, so finding a place to eat was a bit of a chore.

  : Quinta do Barrieiro had been recommended to us by friends and it did not disappoint. Our room was lovely and spacious and the bed extra comfy. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the farm dog was so gorgeous! Even though we went during winter it was still a great spot for a lovely break.
  : Unfortunately the sculpture park was locked when we were there so we couldnt see it. Other than that, there was nothing we didnt like. We would definitely recommend this quinta!
