  : we didn't like the cameras at the entrance to the apartment and on the terrace, we felt watched. This is the first time I have encountered such a thing, even though I travel quite a lot

  : This is a very nice small appartment with good facilities. Plenty of breakfast left for us. Lovely hosts. Great location at the start of the old town near plenty of restaurants and bars but being at the back of the building it was very quiet.
  : The bed in the second bedroom was not fully comfortable and being pushed against the wall was not ideal. We all found the pillows uncomfortable. Not sure why but there seemed to be an unusual smell to the towels, maybe change the washing powder??

  : Location was good, nice quiet place. Close to some great eating options! Easy to get to Citta Alta by walking or funicular. Relaxing place to come back to at the end of the day, and hosts were lovely and friendly.
  : We both like savoury breakfasts, so the breakfast included was disappointing to us. But, its super close to a little supermarket so we got prosciutto and cheese for breakfast, and fresh bread from a bakery

  : Christian and Mauro were gracious, welcoming hosts. They checked us in quickly, providing a comprehensive run-down of the property and Bergamo more generally. We arrived on a late flight and they had been kind enough to arrange a car to the apartment from the airport. The property itself is lovely. Clean, well appointed, quiet and roomy, its centrally located, close to shops, cafs, bars and restaurants (including, across the street, Bella Napoli absolutely essential) and within easy walking distance of lower Bergamos main sites. The funicular to the old town, upper Bergamo (Citt Alta), isnt far either. The little courtyard is a particular treat. I really cant recommend this place enough. Bergamo is a truly beautiful city and La Cortevecchia is an excellent base from which to explore it.

  : Nothing. (If you like black mold and health problems, you'll maybe enjoy it though. You can also google black mold before you arrive, to be a bit more prepared.)
  : Looking to stay in a dark, musty apartment teeming with toxic black mold? This damp Bergamo flat is perfect for you! The pervasive mold will gift you breathing issues, headaches and dizziness galore. Good luck getting any sleep when you can barely breathe! And those lingering health problems from mold exposure? Just a lovely parting gift. The two charming gents renting out this gem will also insist you pay cash only. Getting a refund for your mold-filled stay? Fat chance! They'll lie straight to Booking.com's face and block your number faster than you can say "fungus among us." An absolute dream, right? Rent this apartment if you want a truly miserable vacation experience. Maybe the owners will even grace us with their dishonest comments defending their hazardous hovel. If they do respond to this review, I can guarantee 99% of what they write is an outright lie. Fun, isn't it?
