  : Most things in the area are quite compact so breakfast is available locally or use the kitchen in the property which is adequate and in excellent condition - new, I think. The people of the town were great fun and very patient with our efforts to speak the language, we got along just fine. Eating out for every meal can be expensive but is unnecessary as the accommodation has everything you need to look after yourself and the shops are close by, the boulangerie is minutes from your door. We did not find the best French food, but I think that was our timing as much as anything else. We found some places only served seafood towards the weekend which is understandable. Most of the food available was OK, the closest restaurant is about 30M from the door, we saved that visit until the last evening and it was very good but the menu a bit limited. I spoke to the new owner, and he was running the place with a small staff, but the reputation is certainly known in our part of the UK, I think it was due to the last owner, once again the guy was very helpful and a very good chef.
  : Some of the streets nearby are a little shabby but no reflection on the property which is fine. At the port, I was surprised to see some people abandoning their takeway waste, there were bins 10 metres away from them, this was a personal thing choice obviously not a French trait, I don't think these people were locals

  : The property's central location was perfect for access to all the town. The propery was quintessentially French, refurbished with care.
  : The characteristically creaky floorboards became a little annoying by the end of the week.

  : I dont expect any gifts etc, but there was a card on the table that said it hoped I enjoyed the complimentary bottle of wine - but there was no wine, so that was a little confusing.

  : Fabulous location, loved the apartment aside from the floorboards were really squeaky both in our apartment and above which does get annoying to be honest but then it is a beautiful old building. A new shower unit is also needed but then Sophie is aware of this so all good. The local people in Bergerac are really friendly and patient with you when speaking pigeon French and we absolutely loved it. We found the airport really helpful in assisting us getting a taxi to the apartment and the tourist office was amazingly helpful and if you venture upstairs there is a lovely collection of wines and a courtyard whereby you can sit outside. Will definitely return to Bergerac.

  : The property is located in the old centre of town, minutes walk from numerous restaurants and cafes. No cars permitted in the old centre so walking around was very safe and relaxing. Very old buildings, lots of history to explore. Numerous wineries just a short drive from the town, along with beautiful scenery and more restaurants and cafes.
  : I think the town has a pigeon problem, but that is for the town to address, not the property owner. That did not detract from our enjoyment of the property or the town.

  : Very comfortable small apartment in an old charming building in the old part of town. Sophie was very quick with her replies, and everything went well. There are exposed beams in the apartment, so if you're six foot tall, you'll have to take care. There is also a nine digit access code to the building, so I recommend you write it down in case your phone dies or gets lost. Good WiFi. Comfortable bed.
  : The shower tray emptied very slowly, so I was a bit worried about flooding the bathroom. I wanted to watch the rugby on TV, but there was no signal for the normal channels.
