  : Room was very clean and tidy but the banister on stairs was absolutely filthy and sticky all the way down the 3 floorsNo staff on site at anytime no access to lounge or bar no breakfast as no one ever there please ignore any reviews older than one year as they are misleading this property has changed hands and no longer offers any of the amenities if you are just looking for a room only it would be fine

  : There was no breakfast served and there was no information stating this BEFORE the booking. There are also NO members of staff available apart from a telephone number which is written on the bar door. Upon ringing this at 8am we were told they don’t do breakfast but there are cafes locally. There is also a large hotel next door that offers entertainment however the music was so loud until after 1am that we had problems sleeping.

  : they say “ you get what you pay for” well in this case we completely over paid. the bedroom was filthy, dust you could write your name in, one coffee cup for 2 and that was dirty, shower which has never seen bleach, the shelf in shower was slimy from other people’s soap, the sink had water in it with dead flies as it wouldn’t drain. we lay on top of quilt covers for fear of what lay beneath, the heat in room was unbearable and a silly little window was the only ventilation. bar was closed by 10pm and no offering of breakfast. definitely one to avoid . The Visit England silver standard sign outside was obviously from years gone by and should be removed, no way this hotel should be recommended by visit England.
