  : Host had "to go" breakfast ready for me each morning, it was great as I was fishing early each day. He also helped me with getting my drift raft off my truck for some maintenance.

  : Lawrence was an exceptional host! He was very friendly and accommodating. He was very social with us when we wanted to be and yet respectful of our privacy when we wanted to be alone. He had great recommendations for area activities (Ludington beach area and lighthouse and Ludington State Park for hiking and swimming) and restaurants in Ludington. Also, the Branch Grocery very near the property was a real gem and excellent for fresh food (including great pizza made to order) and a wide variety of adult beverages. Their pizza was better than the pizza at a Ludington Bay Brewing Co. in Ludington, but of course the brewery had great beer and outside seating. Lawrence made delicious breakfasts for us the first 2 mornings, but we had to leave early the 3rd morning to catch the S.S. Badger back to Wisconsin so only took coffee with us. He had a very friendly housecat, Gato, who spent time in our room only because we are cat/animal people and welcomed him. He also had several Airedale terriers on the property, but they were quiet and well-trained and spent most of the time outside.
  : Although our room and attached, private bathroom were very comfortable and clean, we were right next to another suite. We are late-nighters and felt that we had to be really quiet in the room at night to be respectful of others who went to bed earlier. (We rarely heard our neighbors though, so either they were really quiet or the rooms must have been fairly sound-proof.) The wifi was spotty and best only in the common living room areas. Also, although the property itself was beautiful and quiet, it was approximately a half hour drive into Ludington from the property.

  : Lawrence was the best B&B host we've accounted thurs far. He was incredibly friendly and outgoing and helpful when it came to where to eat and what to do during our stay. We definitely felt like friends in his home rather than guests. Also, breakfast was incredible! When Lawrence finished showing us the house and to our room that was when Gato, his cat, took over. Very friendly and sweet kitty who also, like Lawrence, made us feel welcomed and at home.
  : The room was a bit warm at night which Lawrence said he'd look into.

  : Breakfast was absolutely delicious. We also loved sitting on the front porch and reading. There is a short walk through the property which was peaceful as well as very pretty. We liked the out in the middle of nowhere as we were on our way back towards Grand Rapids airport. It might be tough to use if as a base, but excellent to just kick back, relax and enjoy the trees and all the green!
  : Our room was excellent. I am not sure all the rooms have a window so I'd check before you reserve. Very friendly, easy to deal with. Some may not like the location, for us it was perfect.
