  : The complete disregard for fire regulations .Fitting door wedges to keep fire doors open on what is supposed to be a secure staircase and the same disregard on the emergency stairs is both dangerous and illegal . The 60 min firedoors on each level is supposed to ensure that in the event of fire, the staircases remain protected and free from smoke and flames so allowing guests to evacuate the building safely. Disabling the automatically closing doors puts the clients at risk, the staff at risk and the building at risk.If the management feels it is essential for the operation of the hotel, for the doors to be maintained open then they must be fitted to 'Electro-ventuse' connected to the main alarm board so that they close automatically in the event a a risk being detected. The intermediate corridor doors are protected this way and not the stairscases . Whoever allows the staff to wedge these doors open is ultimately responsible be it the company or the manager. having stayed at this hotel twice in June 2024 , on both occasions the doors we wedged open with wood or plastic 'cale' so it seems to be the policy ! The disregard for basic fire safety procedures does come from the top and as a paying guest it makes be wonder if the fire alarm actually works or if that has been disabled too ? Maybe you can check this and let me know so that I can decide if I should stay in a B & B hotel in the future Many thanks

  : Easy to find with plentiful parking. A helpful receptionist, well-appointed, clean rooms with a good shower and decent soundproofing. Handy for local restaurants in the evening. Very comfy beds.
  : Breakfast cost extra so we chose not to have it. This wasn't our best move! Hot drink-making facilities in the room would have been appreciated.
