Disappointing

  : Good location and large room that was pretty quiet considering on a busy street.
  : Beds were really uncomfortable. The double bed is just 2 single beds pushed together so kept having a massive gap in the middle during the night. The mattresses were very light and flimsy so these also kept slipping off of the bedframes. This also meant the fitted sheets kept coming off of the mattress which is not hygienic.Fire alarm went off at 8.30am on our first morning waking us up. The stairs were not well lit to get downstairs safely. There were guests trying to get the alarm to stop (I think they had burned something in their room). No staff came to check if everything was OK and our room smelled of burning the rest of the day.

  : LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION... the 3 most important words in hospitality. The 5 is on the door step of everything... literally EVERYTHING. Less than 15 mins walk/stroll from the main station and less than 10 mins from the Markt which is the beginning of all tours and sight seeing. Restaurants everywhere, shopping everywhere... It claims to be an Adults only place and IT WAS. No noise of screaming children or tantrums. The rooms are very large for such a "tiny" hotel and the walk in shower divine!!! Enough space for 2 adults. :) The breakfast was a great add on as I did not expect it nor can I remember if it was part of my booking. Continental but substantial. Definitely worth booking if you are in Brugge.
  : I was a little annoyed to discover that the restaurant to the front was part of the hotel and closed early and did not even open on a Sunday. Not sure if this was result of COVID as shortage of staff was apparent at all restaurants. If opened I would have used it instead of the other restaurants near by. Housekeeping also needs a kick up their butts. Throwing a easy duvet over a bed is one thing but at least pull the fitted sheet in place. I am a very meticulous traveller and clean my room 95% before I go out and normally only leave a bed to make, therefor was a bit annoyed that the effort was not appreciated.
