: The receptionist (a man with glasses) was very nice. He waived the extra fee for the dog and we were allocated in a nice room on the ground floor, so it was easy for us to walk the dog. The garden area around the hotel is good enough for bbq or dog walk and the grass has been cut recently. The room was reasonably clean although as many say a bit old-fashioned and could use a makeover. But overall: clean! There are vending machines in the reception hall with snacks and drinks and a restaurant as well (which we haven`t tried as we drove out to Brugge city that evening). Also free parking is available. I do agree with some reviews that the rooms are old and could use some new paint. But for the price we paid, considering we stayed 5 minutes from Brugge city centre and with a dog, it was a great option! We would definitely recommend for one night.
: I only deduct 2 out of 10 stars for the following: 1. The mattrasses were horrible, unfortunately! Not just very stiff, but you can literally feel every metal spring core when you sleep. 2. The walls are so thin and there is no sound proof in the rooms. We could hear the group of men above us talking whole night. The only way to fall asleep was with ear plugs.
