  : To the owners of Bear Trax: Re rental 3561510375 from Aug 30 to Sep 3, 2021Dear owners:My husband and I are in our 70's. About 2 years ago a friend showed us a picture of a cabin in the mountains they rented with a hot tub on the deck. My husband talked about doing that ever since, but due to Covid, we couldn't until now.We rented your cabin due to the location, the ambiance and especially the hot tub. There was a picture of it in the ad, and nothing that said it wasn't working. We didn't know that til we got there. A big disappointment for my husband. Also no propane and he loves to BBQ. We did all our grocery shopping in town but didn't buy anything to BBQ. Later the propane arrived but it was too late.Also we didn't know there was a cleaning fee of around $192.00, until after we booked the trip!We didn't used any bathroom towels, we cleaned up dishes and put them away, cleaned the counters, including the bathroom counter, cleaned out the fridge, swept the floors, took out all garbage, and put the sheets by the washer. The only thing for the cleaning staff to do is wash the sheets and put them back on the bed.Another issue was the bed squeaked every time we moved so woke us both up all night. We couldn't use the down stairs bedroom, since we are older can't negotiate the narrow curved stairs with a suitcase.We wanted to watch movies but there was no DVD player. It looked like there may have been one downstairs, but it didn't work either.My husband has some dementia and these seemingly small things mean a great deal to him. After 2 days of disappointments, he wanted to go home. So we left early Wed morning and drove back to Florida.We would really like a refund of at least some of the cleaning deposit and some of the rent, due to so many things not working and it not being what was represented in the ad. It would really mean a lot to us since we do not get away often and are on a fixed income.

  : I loved that the tree was lit when we walked in for the first time. Loved the cats and dogs that wandered around. The horses and chickens next door was lovely. The view was amazing. The house was spacious.
  : We struggled to get the TV downstairs to work. Finally just used the DVD player. The internet was spotty but that was too be expected. I wasn’t thrilled with the spiral staircase but we knew it was there when we booked (just a personal preference)!

  : Couldn't use one of the most expected amenities, the spa, because there were three starving cats on the balcony (sleeping above the spa cover and chairs) which almost attacked us whenever we tried to go outside. After call and talk to the staff, I was told "this is a known problem and there is nothing we can do".Also, the bedroom was not clean and we got some allergic reaction (and we paid more than 100$ for cleaning)The internet and nothing was the same thing. I couldn't even search for any places/address to go. Mobile data wasn't available as well.

  : The view and area was easy to get around. We lie having a porch and loved all the windows and cabin feel.
  : Hit tub didn't work and woodburning fireplace wasn't there. It could have been cleaner... lots of cobwebs. There was some maintenence and attention to detail that probably should be addressed.

  : The location was amazing, very clean, comfortable beds, and great view. Also, loved the visiting cats and horses.
  : The hot tub broke the second day and tried to get someone here to fix it. They were backed up and couldn’t come until the day we left. It was a good part of the reason we came.

  : We absolutely loved the view, the porch, the hot tub, the set up of the home and the cabin feel.
  : It was not as clean as it should be (very dusty wall hangings, freezer and fridge dirty) but we are not real picky and loved everything else so we overlooked these things. I was surprised that the very steep spiral steps to the main bedroom (king bed) downstairs was not mentioned, nor were their any pics of it. This should definitely be mentioned in the event the person wanting to stay downstairs is able to walk down them (small child, older person, very overweight person). Also, the downstairs smelled very musty, may want to put out some damp rid.

  : View was gorgeous. Location pretty remote. Enjoyed full kitchen with all appliances, cleaners, etc.
  : Toaster broken. A bit musty-smelling. Some cobwebs, insects; dirty floors, but it is a cabin, after all...
