  : The best thing about this place is the location. There's stores, restaurants, pubs all at walking distance. The Grand Market Hall is very close and you can easily have a day of fun around the city visiting the nearby landmarks like the Citadella, Garden of Philosophers, Old Town (Buda Castle, Fisherman's Bastion)... If you'd like to go somewhere further away, there's a metro/tram/bus stop at about 10 minutes of walking. The host was helpful with information about how to get there, and then left us alone after we checked in, which I really liked. Thankfully, the apartment was in a better condition than the rest of the building.
  : I would have been more okay with the window also being a front door if it was designed better. There were no curtains or blinds so you can either open the roller shutters and everyone on the other side of the building can see you, or close them and see absolutely no sunlight while you're inside. I'm not sure about the 'designated smoking area', maybe it was supposed to be the balcony leading up to the apartment. We didn't find an ashtray in the apartment though, so we used the one out on the balcony, which I guess turned out to be the neighbor's. The room was not at all soundproof. We could hear everything that was going on in the neighboring apartments or in the hallways/balconies. The beds and pillows were very uncomfortable, and the bed frames made terribly loud noises, so every time one of us turned in our sleep, we would both wake up. We stayed for 4 nights, and in the apartment there were only two towels. Three, if we also count the smallest hand towel in the world (seriously, it was something like 20x30cm). So, we had to use the towels for everything and they wouldn't be dry in time for the next shower. The shower was so small that trying to turn around was awkward and mostly ended in hitting the walls. The fridge was also very small, but it was functional and adequate for our stay. The air conditioner worked fine, but it drained into a bucket in the bathroom and we had to empty the bucket every day. We didn't really mind, but thought that someone might.
