  : Multiple rooms with en-suite bathrooms in a large flat in a historical building. Nicely decorated, and with balconies. Great location for both visiting the Gaudi palaces and Sagrada church, as well as the barrios east and west of La Rambla. Check-in is completely remote, you get entry codes for all doors until the key locker. If you travel by car, a good choice is Centric Parking on Arago. Especially if you load and pay by AP2K app, 24h cost you about half the normal rate. Eating out is not a problem in Barcelona, but at least once you should try Restaurant Portoles, a must eat.

  : Firstly, when we arrived at the hotel, it was already not properly arranged. I have already checked in, but I have not received any instructions by email. It was also nowhere to be found on the website. We stood in front of a closed door. Luckily there were other residents of the hotel. They saw us and immediately knew that we were also having difficulty with it. They were less lucky upon arrival and did not encounter any other residents of the hotel. As a result, they waited outside for 3 hours without any idea. Without the help of others we would be the same and waiting outside for hours because the phone number was not available. I indicated that we would arrive around 1:00 am. This has also been approved, but I find it irresponsible to then put us there without any instructions or accessibility. Fortunately, after refreshing a few times and checking in again 4 times, we received our instructions. Without the help of the fellow residents, we would never have been able to get in so quickly and would just have to stand outside in the evening, just like them. How can they say it is expedited check-in and check-out when it is arranged that way? When we entered, we saw that the door handle was half broken off. And the door is very old. You can simply look inside the door from the outside through a large slot, because the door cannot close together. VERY CLEAR. Even if you lock it, you can still see inside the entire bottom of the door. I felt very unsafe. The door is also broken and old. I could just look out through a closed door and outside can see in. Never experienced anything like this before. Furthermore, the bathroom is super dirty. There are stains and white thick spots all over the wall that I don't know what they are (I think it's just mold). The shower is very dirty and has black spots. The sink had not been cleaned at all and also the handles are not cleaned.

  : The bed was comfortable. The housekeeper Maria didnt speak English but was friendly and helpful.
  : The photos on booking.com are not representative of the actual condition of this place!The room we were given was tiny. Decor is really old. Pealing paint on the walls in the bathroom and black mould on the walls and in the corners of the shower. Woodwork looks like its been repainted tens of times over the years. No shampoo or conditioner in the bathroom. Toiletries supplied consisted of a huge bottle of cheap blue shower gel placed on the shower tray and hand soap on the sink. Went out and bought our own stuff at a local pharmacy as it was so bad!A random hole in cut in the ceiling. Wire trailing from ceiling light to socket with black electrical tape wrapped around the wire.Door handle was broken and hanging out of the door. On the inside there was no handle or knob, instead they used cello tape to build up just enough girth to stop the handle going through the hole in the door. Didnt feel safe or secure at all during our stay. Walls are thin and you can hear everything from the kitchen area and foot traffic going in and out of the place.No beside lockers or drawer unit in the room.The wardrobe has a hanging rail but you cant hang coats or dresses without them creasing due to a bottom shelf that gets in the way.No ironing board. I was told to iron on the bed! Broke my back leaning over trying to iron on a soft surface!There are solid wood shutters on the windows and the room is completely overlooked by apartments in other buildings around the internal atrium. So you have to choose between fresh air and natural light or privacy! The aircon unit is old and make a persistent rattling noise all the time, and despite closing all the windows it never got the room temperature below 21.On the last night I turned out all the lights and opened the window to let some air in. My husband woke in the middle of the night to find a bearded man hanging out of his window looking straight into our room. Completely freaked us out!
