  : Check-in instructions were crystal clear, the hosts even gave us a map of the bus numbers, route and picture of the street & main door 1 day prior. Great location - short walk to quite a number of main sights in Catania, and to the nearest metro (1 stop from Centrale train station). Spacious apartment, with a loft bed. Surrounded by lots of bars & restaurants. Hosts allowed late check-out at no extra cost. Strong wifi. Cold water in the fridge a nice touch on arrival.
  : Aircon clearly not serviced regularly, and began to leak on the 2nd night. Hosts promised a fan but never delivered one. Asked to use aircon fan mode, telling us there was no need for the aircon?! (no way it was 19 degrees inside). Did not seem bothered by the puddle of water forming around the entrance. Offered no apologies / compensation for the discomfort / inconvenience. Mattress although large, traps heat. Woke up sweating every morning, even after the first night. Future guests, be aware the aircon unit is simply insufficient to cool the double volume apartment. Toilet does not have natural ventilation, only a tiny exhaust fan with a portable dehumidifier. Insulation is average, lots of street noise at night even though its located on a quiet laneway. Shower had very low pressure, hot water delivery inconsistent.
