  : Excellent halfway destination between the Pyrenees and Calais if going toll free. we arrived around 6pm, easy to find, was able to park our large luton van directly outside the property, was warmly greeted by our hostess at the door on our arrival. The house was warm with a relaxed cottage feel, we were shown to our room which had a relaxed feel overlooking the river, plenty of tea and coffee available. We had a short walk through the old town streets and dined at Le P'tit Bouchon (google it) which highly recommend you trying. Returned back to Le Lavoir and sank into bed for a most relaxed and peaceful nights sleep. Up in the morning, powerful hot shower, followed by a lovely breakfast of fresh breads & preserves, lovingly prepared fresh pineapple, yogurt and a big pot of fresh coffee, perfect to continue on our journey!

  : Very kind reception by the host. As the location is in the centre of Chateauroux we could explore the loverly centre of this town and found a nice restaurant to take our diner. We had a very good night sleep in the loverly bed. In the morning we were served a nice breakfast in a beautiful room.

  : Friendly hosts providing personal service, and a thoughtfully equipped room. Nice breakfast in a cosy setting. Just a note for future guests - we are fast becoming a cashless society as so many hotels and services are cash only now, especially post-covid. I'm just highlighting that you will require cash to settle your bill at this property. We had over looked this fact, but the hosts kindly gave us a lift to the cash machine and then to the train station. Thank you.

  : Room had lot of character, comfortable, pretty outlook. Pool looked good and breakfast was good. Hostess very friendly and helpful.

  : The room was really clean and spacious. Chantelle was very welcoming and spoke good English, she was really helpful about places to eat nearby, even offered to ring and book us a table!
  : Advert said a pool was available but it wasnt. It was half empty and obviously needed a clean. When I booked it we were thinking it would be great to use the pool after our long journey. As it happened it wasnt too much of a disappointment but I feel the advert was a bit misleading.
