  : Whilst the age and history of the building is fascinating there is no attempt to put any luxury in to the hotel, the beds are very uncomfortable the accessibility is very difficult with narrow staircases and no staff to assist. Unfortunately the worst part of the experience was the restaurant which at best serves poor to average food and with only 2 staff the service was dreadful.Externally the gardens are not kept to the standards shown in the photographs and the swimming pool needed a good clean We also discovered on departure we were charged for two cocktails which we sent back as they were not drinkable and 80 euros for our small dog who was provided with no additional services. We have stayed at many hotels and have never been as disappointed with an establishment as much as this one that sold itself on its commitment to luxury and service. On a positive note if this hotel did receive investment and was managed by a team which understands high quality service it could become an amazing 5 star resort. Until then we will not be returning and would not recommend anyone else who is looking for service and quality

  : Beautiful property and room. Very pleasant and helpful staff. Excellent breakfast.
  : Restaurant not open most nights we were there, and we were not warned of this in advance. Poor lighting in parking area- dangerous walk from car on uneven pavement. Very nice timeshare/vacation club, but not a luxury hotel; not staffed most of day. No bar or room service.

  : everything was amazing. The food and the grounds of the place. Also they are dog friendly so that was a bonus.

  : the garden is beautiful and the pool so quiet. the castle is beautiful.
  : Missing a small bar even a few hours a day. You would love a nice champagne cocktail.the dinner was lovely but the wine list is limited

  : The outside of the property was beautiful.
  : The bedrooms were no better than a Premier Inn.There was nothing Chateau like about the rooms and the bathroom which was better than the room had a defective tap on the bath.The mini bar supposedly stocked was a bottle of water and a bottle of beer.The English Channels on the TV had no volume unlike the German ones.There was no dinner service or room service and we were told that there was a local Pizza place which might not be open.there was no service even at the main desk after 7pm.There was a self service bar with an honesty book hardly what you expect from an expensive Hotel.

  : -Restaurant closed, just what you need after a long drive- Bill was not ready in de morning ( reception open at 8.30 ) so if you go earlier nobody knows what you have to pay!

  : Breakfast was absolutely fine. The restaurant was closed on our first two evenings so we had to find local restaurants. Recommendations on local restaurants would have saved us a lot of time.
  : There was no staff around except for reception but not manned all day. There was'nt anyone to help with luggage, no one at the pool. Literally left to your own devices in the evening.

  : Its a beautiful place, breakfast was good enough, staff is super friendly and helpful. The rooms are nice and roomy.
  : Maybe the lack of airconditioning, however, due to the thick walls it cools pretty good so overall not too bad.
