  : One mile from Chester village, this met the minimal requirements (or I would have rated it a "1" - there was a bed, a place to sit, there was a glaring ceiling light and a lamp, there was a bathroom (with hot water for the shower) ... not worth the price, and certainly NOTHING LIKE the romantic Vermont getaway at an old tavern any couple would have dreamt about ... Motel 6 would have been a nicer space...
  : DISAPPOINTING, perhaps DECEPTIVE! A "QUEEN" room was small, and comes with only a 'FULL' bed (I should have read the fine print, but what makes it a "Queen" room?) which was hard as a drumhead and covered with discount-quality linen || "Garden view" was laughable - the view out the old windows (one held together by metal straps) was a roasting-hot galvanized porch roof, then the driveway across the front of the building, then busy Rt. 11 || The small en-suite looks newly installed with hardware-store-quality fixtures; trim was only primed, and some not held on with nails (just standing in place ... or falling over), with no threshold between the 'Queen' room and the raised floor || This place has an adjacent tavern, and a huge commercial kitchen, but not even a cup of coffee in the morning (I guess they never thought of a K-cup machine and some mugs)... We Left After The First Night (even though we paid for 2) ... IMHO, Save Your Money!

  : Perfect location for skiing. The Tavern served delicious food and the Servers/Bartender were all great... super friendly.
  : Sheldon was a little aloof at first. He’s actually very nice and when we mentioned that we were chilly in our room he immediately made sure heat was turned up and we were comfortable. The place needs some updates but overall we were very happy. The quirkiness of the Inn made for a fun stay.

  : Room was dirty and dusty. Per website and confirmation breakfast included. When we arrived told no breakfast due to covid. Even though the inn has a restaurant and was currently serving dinner. No discount for lack of breakfast. No cups or glasses in room. Had to ask for them. No TV. Uncomfortable mattress. Filthy fan in bathroom, dust collected on bathroom door, casings and window sills filthy. “Toiletries” were 2 one inch by two inch bars of soap.

  : . Beautiful old inn. Gorgeous gardens. Good lication
  : Breakfast terrible. Only coffee, juice and ice cold blueberry muffins from Costco.had to ask for cream and milk for coffee , they had fake creamer in a bowl. Had to ask for napkins and plates.Booked because restaurant attached to inn known for food. Did not say restsurant only open on weekends.

  : Easy to find and the staff was friendly
  : There was trash in the bathroom trash, no control of the heat, no direction on if the fireplace in the room was for so or actually useable. Tried calling twice no answer. Bed was hard and room seemed to be in the midst of a renovation.

  : This was one of the worst experiences my friends and I ever had in lodgings.The innkeeper was unhelpful and annoyed that we were there. He was bitter about his lot in life and made our stay very unpleasant.The most obvious was there was no COLD water only hot water in our bathroom. And the innkeeper was nowhere to be found after he showed us our room so we couldn’t get anything changed or fixed.A completely unacceptable stay in most every way.I am happy to provide you with more info.

  : Beautiful old stone house and lovely on the outside but very tired on the inside. It felt as if the minimum maintenance was being done. And 2 requests: the WiFi code password in the room since there’s no visible host after you’ve checked in and the internet connection in this area is very dicey. The other is a drinking glass - plenty of people need to take medications.
