  : A chair in the room!! Maybe a small desk for laptop? SHELVING in the bathroom AND shower! Nowhere to put toiletries down! Bed frame was very squeaky! No shower gel provided?

  : Nice bedroom, fan in room, good wireless signal, generous helpings of food, towels and tea/coffee items refreshed each day.
  : A bit of constructive criticism: No shower mat, towels still had plastic tag fasteners attached, curtains a bit too short, no info (such as wireless key) in room, cooked breakfast brought out rather too promptly, frontage of building rather uninviting i.e. not clear where the main entrance is.

  : Room was good size and bed was very comfortable. breakfast was excellent and meal in restaurant in the evening was good. Staff were pleasant and helpful. A very pleasant place to stay. Would stay there again if in the area.
  : Local town of Cinderford felt a little bit sad and neglected. which was a shame as the area is actually stunning. Could have done with being able to borrow a hair dryer at the property - although perhaps if the property caters more to walkers or hikers in the area, possibly people have a more casual attitude to appearance and there is less call for using hairdryers.The inn itself was lovely.

  : Breakfast was lovely and well laid out. Probably the best full English breakfast I've ever had and nicest fresh fruit display. No expense spared. Proper weetabix. Food Hygiene rating was 5 star displayed which is really good. Lovely thick towels. Clean bedding. Hard working family run inn on edge of village, just on edge of Forest of Dean.
  : The guy at bar was not very welcoming and blurted out we needed to pay in full, and didnt properly welcoming us, had scruffy t shirt on. Bad first impression after seeing the outside. We were really worried. The Inn is by a busy road which wss too noisy for us.for what we are used to. The Inn is a project still in the making/finishing. . Really posh carpet and nicely laid out dining tables but the place is let down just by the edges, like on the stairs to room the skirting edging needs finishing to the walls. Also the odd raw plug still showing. Outside doors and flowers pots shocking and need a few bright geraniums and a lick of paint. Would make all the difference. That said, such a hard working family run in deserves to do well. I hope so. These things are mostly cosmetic.

  : Large carpark. Suitcase carried to the room by hotel/bar staff. Popular place for all including children. We had a meal that was very tasty and large and at a good price. The bedroom was super, large comfy bed and very lovely shower room. Friendly staff and children's play equipment.
  : Carpark very gravelly, uneven under foot. Steep stairs to the room.

  : The room was very nice & a good size and the bed very comfortable. The shower room was modern and easy to use. Access from the car park to the room was straightforward- always useful for people like me who bring a lot of 'stuff' ! The room door lock was good - meaning you couldn't lock yourself out! And the leaving procedure was easy and meant you could easily leave very early, as I did, without any fuss. Thanks.
  : I was only a little disappointed that the huge wardrobe in the room didn't actually have any hanging space - just shelves! But I managed.

  : Room was not in good condition, bathroom/toilet door lock bezel not attached to door.Window in ceiling had no shade/blind.Food at evening not of very good value/ presentation.Breakfast quantity and quality of food good, SHAME it was swimming in fat.

  : The food was good. Traditional pub grub stuff but good portions and all well cooked. The rooms, allthough basic were clean and had everything you needed.
  : From the outside this place is tired and quite run down which is a shame as it's decent inside.
