: Friendly staff. Great location. Easy to find. Loads of parking. Pub down the road served an amazing pub dinner. The shower (despite the black mould and flies) was decent too. Easy check in and check out.
: Paper thin walls meant that you can clearly hear everything outside of the room and in next rooms. We were all kept awake by loud drunk people until the early hours... not ideal when you have to be up early and have a 26km hike to do. Room smelt of damp. Lots of flies around due to time of year and that rooms have large hedgerow directly at the back of the building. Uncomfortable beds... soft lumpy mattress, soft pillows... bedding smelt damp. In much need of updating. No breakfast available - spoke to manager beforehand who, although friendly and polite, explained that there was "no point in doing breakfast" as people are "usually up and out before breakfast time at 9am"... there's so much to do in this beautiful part of Wales so it's a shame that the hotel are not able to serve breakfast earlier to cater for guests who want to be up and out early. We took are own. Personally I expected more comfort and facilities for the price... we stayed in youth hostels for the rest of our trip that were more comfortable and had much better facilities for half the price.
