  : Historical building. River view. Staff obliging when asked for tea/sugar/toilet paper and their manner at breakfast was pleasant and efficient.Choices of breakfast and meals was good and included a variety of Indian curries which were nicely presented. Nicely presented dining area too. Able to sit outside with food, dogs able to stay in bar during meals.The hotel appears to quite a popular place with locals too.The main housekeeper was lovely and chatty and works hard doing her best to keep the place decent for the guests and the owners.
  : No Wi-Fi in the bedroom. Sink pop-up plug didn’t work. Grubby stained bedroom carpet. Very dated dark bedroom furniture and clumpy tatty old chair too low to sit on if wanted to. Walking across the bedroom and the wardrobe shook noisily. The bedroom decor is dated and the bathroom needs painting, stained wall and ceiling. Bed very low and mattress hard, like lying on straw, hips were sore and tender each morning.Despite pleasant staff they lacked any conversational ability to socialise with guests. Rather disconcerting was the young man wandering around the dining room constantly.Although popular with locals especially in the bar, we didn’t like to eat our meals hearing unnecessary language.It’s good they accept dogs but doggy bins, or any outside bins are a must in the outside areas, which was very unkempt.

  : Lovely evening meal in the bar area.Comfy bed with good view of television.Clean outdoor area.Lots of parking available.
  : Wi-fi connection not always available. If it was, the connection was sometimes quite weak.Bathroom quite small and the mirror frame was covered in dust.Would be nice to have more choice of breakfast cereals.
