  : We went for the Christmas market, the location could not have been better. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They were very busy when we arrived but as the stay went on we got to like the owners more and more - they seemed to care a lot.
  : Unfortunately the restaurant was booked out for both night of our stay so we had to go out for dinner, maybe Christmas parties so perhaps understandable at this time of year. We went to a local restaurant called Plaza de toro both nights and the meals were excellent.

  : we have stayed at this hotel for years, whenever we are in Domodossola, so it is like a comfy slipper for us. The lovely old lady who is the owner is still there and is always so lovely to see her.
  : we were given single beds instead of a double. I think they had turned the power and heating off on the other floors that were not needed on the night we were there, so they did not have enough double beds. That was disappointing. Most of the staff were very helpful and friendly. there was one older guy, I think one of the owners, who was pretty nonchalant and seemed pretty disinterested when I asked him for assistance, and he just sat there and pointed his finger at the waitress, indicating I should ask her! It was only a minor thing and did not detract from our stay but he does not do the rest of the hotel any service. The only other disappointment was that the restaurant was closed on Sunday night when we were there and we were really looking forward to it as it is one of our favourites in the town.. It might be a good idea to make this known before guests book. Most of the restaurants are actually closed on Sunday night we found out, however we found one called Eleni, just off the main square of the old town centre and it was a find. The chef owner is a passionate chef and wine connoisseur. he ofered us a 4 course degustion menu that was extraordinary. he even threw in a couple of extra dishes for us to sample so it turned into a 6 course menu for Euro 55...excellent valuer and quality was Michelin grade
