  : The bedroomWas cold despite the fact the heating was on. The door had gaps and windows not glazed so caused the heat loss. The en suite would benefit from a major up date. The mattress was very hard for my partner and caused him pain in back and hips.

  : Bed wasnt comfortable, ordered snack in Harrys bar from bar staff, waited 45 , when it eventually arrives it was lukewarm, complained while paying but staff were indifferent.

  : we had dinner and breakfast, the food was fine, good choice on the dinner menu and reasonable prices, we had to change room, it was a nice room, but but we had sticks in our coffee cups, no spoons, the room was clean but basic facilities, very warm, and we couldnt open the window because the courtyard and smoking area was below us, so lots of noise. bed was so so but a poor nights sleep.
  : Its 25 years from i stayed here, and it will be another 25 before i return, decor needs updating, poor lighting in the restaurant, we had to cut our stay very short as i really couldnt stand another moment in this hotel, our first room was dark and closed in, with 2 beds in the room, and terrible fusty smell, the window was blocked from any kind of light or view as their was a building obstructing the window, i was annoyed at this as i clearly stated in my booking, that i was claustrophobic, i even rang the hotel 4 days before we stayed to remind them again, the phone in the room didnt work properly either, we changed room and we were told, this was the only room left, so not a big choice, we had dinner in the restaurant and then went to the bar, we got a seat easy enough as we were early, as the bar started to fill up, we seen a young fella and girl coming towards us with a table and 4 chairs, there was no where to fit them ,so the put them against the emergency fire exit door and blocked it, so people couldnt get in or out the door, also on our left hand side, their was a large open fire with a large basket of logs in front of it, the same young people, removed the large basket and put a table and four chairs directly in front of this fire, we were completly blocked in our seating area, i told the young fella that it was against the law to block a fire door and also it was a fire hazard were they placed the table and chairs directly in front of an open fire, no one listened, the final straw was when the people who were placed at the table blocking the fire door, one of the men sat beside us on our seat and starting talking about religion and cursing at the top of his voice, my partner tried to be patient and nice to the man as it was new years eve, but he didnt stop, then some young chidren were running around the bar about 10pm, they came down to the area we were traped in and they were trying to get out the door to their mother, who was on the other side of it.

  : I loved the homely feeling walking into the hotel, staff was lovely and welcoming. place was nice and warm, open fire and room was cosy. Could relax without feeling on edge. Food was delicious
  : Only thing id change is a bigger TV in the room as it was abit sore on the eyes trying to watch it from the bed.
