This 13th-century castle offers unique rooms with original features in a peaceful setting 25 minutes’ drive from Utrecht. Sterkenburg boasts lush grounds and elegant public spaces with stained glass. Kasteel Sterkenburg has rooms with wooden floors and views over the surrounding countryside. Each of the rooms has a private bathroom and does not have a TV so that guests can relax in this quiet setting.
The spacious gardens include a terrace with barbecue facilities. A continental breakfast is served in the former gardener’s house each morning. Breakfast can also be served in-room or on the terrace. The centre of historic Amersfoort is 30 minutes away by car.
Sterkenburg Kasteel is a 20-minute drive from the Utrechtse Heuvelrug National Park. The historic centre of Amsterdam is 45 minutes by car. Free private on-site parking is available at the castle.
