  : All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was tasty and efficiently cooked and served. I liked the view of the hills from my quiet room. Although the restaurant is not open for dinner, I was able to eat at another hotel, just down the road. The Bruce was very convenient for the festival I was attending in Wigtown and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.
  : It would have been beneficial to have had a lift to the top floor but I was kindly offered assistance with my luggage by one of the staff. Unfortunately the WiFi was not very reliable, perhaps because of a recent storm.
