  : Nothing, its a complete filthy dump and I am disappointed Booking.com deal in such poor quality and pass it off as good with fake photos. Online photos dont show the correct room pictures for this hotel/flop house. Please see my pictures of the real rooms you get given, and this was supposed to be an improvement on the one I was moved out of due to choking on the dust.
  : Being mislead by Booking.com, being ripped off by the hotel, and having to spend the night in the filthiest room I've ever had the misfortune to come across. The food as was inedible and extortionate, 20 for stale soggy fish and chips. The fact that is was built in the 13th Century and last cleaned in the 14th century.

  : The main attraction of this hotel is its proximity to the IWM Duxford and, for some people, the railway station just yards away. The staff were pleasant and helpful, albeit a bit stand-offish upon arrival. I accept I had overlooked it amongst the notes sent to confirm the booking, but I was treated as if I should have known that you now have to go to another hotel to check in!
  : I had stayed in the Red Lion before in 2019 (pre-Covid). I was disappointed by the changes (probably necessary) they have made. In particular, having to go to a neighbouring hotel for breakfast. Also the fact that the bar and restaurant are closed in the evenings at the weekend. Another change was the 7.50 per night car parking charge, which used to be free. Cramped room with uncomfortable bed due to sloping floor.

  : The room was clean and as pictured. The best part of the whole experience was the huge bath in the room.Staff from the nearby Holiday Inn,which is linked to this property, were the most friendliest and helpful.
  : The entrance included an un hoovered hallway and stairs. In the restaurant there were limited choice of food options for a vegetarian - only a vegan burger. The nachos I ordered were inedible - oily and soldered together. I complained and was assured that they were homemade. Very expensive menu too eg around 16 for a Caesar salad, 3 more with chicken I think.So I had a packet of crisps for dinner - there is nowhere nearby unless you have a car. Basic things in the room were also bad. Two hangers were in a enormous wardrobe which also had a broken door stuck together with masking tape. I hung my clothes on one hanger which broke immediately. The tea/coffee faculties were in a side cupboard and when you pulled the tray out everything fell on the floor and a cup broke. When I turned on the bath the shower attachment automatically sprayed water everywhere - maybe left on by the person who had cleaned it. There was no temperature control in the shower either. You can also hear a lot through the walls. The neighbours made noise well past midnight. But the staff did come over to deal with the situation once informed.Thank goodness I was only there for one night!

  : I must confess that The Red Lion Hotel is a total nightmare, there's no value for money and the Hotel has a very bad reception with a dirty smelling entrance of smoking. Rooms are very scary without CCTV in and around the premises, it's also far from Cambridge town, the ownership knows that customers will not always like the premises once booked so it is in their policies not to refund cash once booked.
  : Everything about the hotel is bad. It smells and is not neat at all.

  : The only thing that went well with stay was the fact there was a Travel Lodge less than 100 metres away I could stay in rather than the gulag
  : Room had no heating, dirty bath, draught coming in around the window, no room service or food or drink onsite

  : The location is good. The building is over 300 years old which is what we like. The bar area is very good.
  : Extremely unclean bathroom with filthy surfaces behind taps. The lavatory was unbelievably badly stained. It only needed bleach or something similar and a good scrub. It was a cold night but no heating. A very small portable electric radiator was inadequate to heat the room.
