: Great location, right in the middle of the royal mile! A lovely room, very cosy. Comfy bed and nice touches! We were a bit worried when we realised that the room was above a busy pub, but the noise was pretty minimal after 10pm when they stop letting customers sit outside with drinks so it was great. The stairs really are nowhere near as treacherous as everybody seems to say they are in the reviews!! Theyre actually quite wide and if you needed to you could use the central bit/the wall to balance yourself.
: Not the owners fault as theres clear signage that says shut the door- but we shared a secondary front door with another room and each time we went back to our room, we found this door was left open. Not sure if theres anything else that can be done to make sure people shut the door! Also the walls are quite thin, but its an old building so to be expected. Just bring some earplugs if youre a light sleeper :)

: The location was great - easy to get to from the Princes St. Tram stop (and just as easy from train or bus from airport if taken). The instructions to find it and get in were perfect and easy to follow. Even though it is technically above a bar, it wasnt noisy! And I was there Halloween weekend, so dont let that worry you. The room was the perfect size for my solo travel and I felt safe. Very clean and the staff was very prompt with communication. Would stay again!
: The temperature thing took a minute to get used to, but it all worked out fine. If you have any issues with mobility, Id really consider.the stairs add character for sure and I loved them. But having just recovered from a serious leg injury, I was thinking how theres now way I could have safely done it a year ago. Narrow, turning stairs, yes. But just the cobble stones and walkways back in the closes can be quite tricky, especially when wet. So just fyi!

: The property is spotless and the bed is super cosy, the biscuits were a nice touch, the location is so convenient it is straight on to the Royal Mile, I was surprised at how quiet the room was at night! We loved our stay here and will definitely be back!
