  : Lovely traditional coaching Inn in a great location for visiting the areas attractions, very friendly attentive staff very varied menu with well cooked and presented food, gorgeous cooked breakfast. All in all very Good value for money.
  : We booked a small double room, when a larger double room was available for only 10 extra. Our room was fine but slightly cramped, but very acceptable compared with accommodations at many other hotels we have been to.

  : I had a lovely stay at the The Forest Lodge. I had dinner at the pub on both nights that I was there, and the menu had a good range of choices. Breakfast was also really good. My room was comfy and had what I needed. Even though it was by the road, it was nice and quiet. Very friendly staff that made me feel very welcome as a solo traveller.

  : Room cold and slightly damp. Ok on hot night we visited but maybe not so in cooler weather.

  : We had a big twin room which was very clean. Breakfast was great with a cooked option and cereals, yoghurt, fruit and toast. We were able to park our car in the car park before check in time so we could go for a walk around Sherwood Forest. All of the staff we spoke to were very friendly and helpful.
  : Our room was over the bar area which wasn't a problem for us as we were out until late in the evening but may be something other guests wish to bear in mind when booking.

  : The Forest Lodge is perfectly situated within a very short walk of Sherwood Forest with helpful and attentive staff. We had a slight mix up with our rooms however; the landlady, once aware, was very quick to act and went above and beyond to resolve the situation with no fuss at all. The food was brilliant and we were made to feel very welcome and comfortable.
  : It would have been nice to have been offered the restaurant for dinner as residents however; we honestly can't grumble about being sat in the bar area for dinner, the food was still fantastic.
