  : Great location, walking distance to all places you want to visit, Room was really clean and also so quite at night! The staff was so nice and friendly
  : The only small issue is that it's in first floor and there is no lift, I had 2 heavy luggages and she helpmed me with one but still it was a but hard and on the day od check-out also.

  : Simona was so nice and helpful. I had a very warm and personal welcome. She gave me a city map and told me everything about where to go to in Florence and recommended me several places for sightseeing, eating, shopping... I could also write her via whatsapp for questions. Could also deposit my luggage in the apartment on the day I left until my train arrived. Very nice!
  : The view was inside a courtyard, not very nice. Not unusual for a room inside an Italian city center though. Matress was very soft, for me personally something to get used to. Room was pretty small but ok for two days.

  : I found Simona's place last minute and so glad that I did. I was there for Florence Cocktail Week and only intended on staying 3 nights. But I decided to extend my stay last minute for a day (actually twice, two days in a row) and Simona was so understanding and accommodating. The room itself was really cute. I opted for the economic option so, small room, etc. But the room had a double bed (something really rare in Italy) that was so comfortable and a big, recently renovated bathroom and shower (also a rarity). A short walk to the Market and city center so great location. I immediately found Simona to be the perfect host and a really friendly and genuine person. Super helpful literally every day offering some recommendations and advice, without me having to ask.The night before I was SUPPOSED to leave, I unfortunately had a minor accident and injured my ankle pretty badly. I texted Simona rather late just to notify her that I had to run to the emergency room unexpectedly and in case I wasn't back in time for check out, I asked if she could remove my bag from the room and hold on to it until I returned. Her reaction to hearing about my accident was so sweet, almost the same as a relative or friend. She was genuinely upset and kept offering to help me out in any way that she could. The next morning she literally helped me out of my room, taking my bags, and then walking me and them both across the street for me to wait in the hotel lobby where I would stay an extra day to sort myself out. I obviously would have loved to stay another night at Gate of Paradise, had it not been already fully booked. Simona was overly apologetic about this as well even though I totally understood!The way Simona was with me and took care of me was beyond words and so very touching. She went above and beyond the call of duty and it's people like her make the world a little sweeter. Really special people and place.

  : Very friendly staff, very clean, spacious bathroom, good location.
  : Extremely small bed, this is not a double (the pillows side by side hand over the edges). Noisy residing neighbours (loud music, shouting etc). The flat plastic roof outside was very loud due to damaged drain pipes. Wi-fi dropped in and out and overall was very slow. Couldn’t control the temperature in the room so varied from Day one being cold to day two being too hot.

  : The place was very well decorated. The rooms are a bit small but have all the facilities. Our host, simona was very nice and helpful. We had a very good experience.
