  : Not liking the new self-serve, automated shop/machines which they only tell you deep in the fine print will take either 40 or 50 euros - depending on which cabinet you shop from - as a deposit which they hold for up to 48 hours. At one point they were holding 270 euros of mine until I realised. Much better to walk across to the supermarket at the main station for snacks and drinks. And they are cheaper there.

Parking Facilities: Novotel offers convenient on-site underground parking, a significant perk in a city where parking can be a challenge. 4. Family-Friendly: Families will appreciate that the rooms are spacious enough to accommodate two adults and two children comfortably. This is ideal for those traveling with their little ones.
  : Unfortunately, Novotel Freiburg has some notable drawbacks that mar the overall experience. 1. Pricey Stay: The hotel is on the expensive side, which may deter budget-conscious travelers. It's essential to consider the value you get for the price. 2. Costly Breakfast: The breakfast option at the hotel is also expensive, which can add significantly to your overall costs. Exploring nearby cafes might be a more cost-effective option. 3. Inconvenient Electrical Outlets: One significant inconvenience we encountered during our stay was the lack of outlet sockets on the nightstands. In this age of technology, this can be a real inconvenience for travelers needing to charge their devices by the bedside. 4. Declining Service Standards: Perhaps the most disappointing aspect of our stay was the deteriorating quality of service. During check-in, we encountered an unprofessional staff member who displayed a lack of knowledge and empathy. Their reaction to our country of citizenship, was offensive and unacceptable. Such interactions tarnish the reputation of Novotel and are not in line with the hospitality industry's standards.
