  : We booked bed and breakfast for 3 nights. The first night there was a roudy party which went on until 2 am in a nearby room, we had difficulty rousing the proprietor to assist in ending this. In the morning we were told there was no breakfast available due to "the chef being ill". No offer of a refund in this respect was offered although we did ask for one which has never been received. We moved to another hotel for the third night.
  : Particularly that we never received a refund in respect of breakfasts which were unavailable. We took these elsewhere at a cost of £60.

  : The central heating was working, so the room was warm.
  : On arrival, having driven several hundred miles, we were informed that there was no food available, either evening or breakfast, but given no explanation as to why! The TV did not switch on or off via the remote, you had to climb on a chair to turn it on/off at the wall - reported to staff member who did nothing about it. The room was dirty and dusty, there were cobwebs in the bathroom and something not very pleasant on the carpet. The decor was outdated, wallpaper was torn in several places and in desperate need of attention. The bed (which had dark blue bedding - difficult to know if it was clean!) creaked every time you made the slightest move, the robe door and the bathroom door creaked, the toilet flush was noisy. The bedside lights didn't work (pull cords were missing), no hairdryer in the room, no bath mat for the shower, tea/coffee not replenished after the first night. Only two coat hangers available. Our sleepless night due to the creaky bed was only made worse by the level of road noise, which was excessive. Absolutely ZERO effort made by the owners towards basic Covid 19 guidelines, nothing sanitised, nothing sealed and sanitising stations empty. Overall, a shocking experience and one of our worst in over 40 years of hotel stays.

  : Staff were lovely and didn’t mind us checking in a little early and dropping our bags off. Also gave us a taxi number for later in the night. The room was spacious and the bed comfortable. Plenty of room for a family. Nice and clean and very quiet.
  : Could do with a slight upgrade (but that’s me being picky). We did have to go looking for a kettle though, as there was not one in our room.

  : Room was clean and comfortable enough for a one night stay. Good parking facilities.
  : No chef so no breakfast available. We were advised where a local place could offer the facility. No lounge facility at 11.30pm as pub completely closed. Bedside light not working in one room, kettle needed to be replaced in another. Needs a little TLC. Room 2 gets a lot of late night road noise.

  : After booking the Verdin Arms, and scrolling through the online data we found out that there was no food available for an evening meal or breakfast. The room was cold when we arrived and a member of staff had to sort that issue out. The room decor looked tired, the hot water tap even turned on fully merely trickled and there was no hot water.

  : Great staff and the locals in the pub were great company,Room was good, food was fine. location was great for us. Would use again when down in that area next.

  : The room was cosy and quite spacious, I was happy to see it was really clean. Easy check in and check out
  : I arrived and the staff member wasn't really aware of what he had to do. He did his best and put all his effort into it so no really a problem. The room was booked for 3 people but only prepared for 2 so I had to ask for more towels and the staff member didn't know where to find them. luckily, I left the room for dinner and found more towels once I got back in the room. Sad to have no dinner there and had to go to look for dinner.
