Disappointing
Traveller Type: Traveling as Couple
  : Although we paid for a double bed, we received a room with 2 separate individual beds. We asked to be moved to a different room ( we were flexible about when and how) but the owner didn't give us any option. So we had to stay for the whole vacation in 2 separate beds - not the best when you are a couple. Furthermore, they wouldn't change the towels if I wouldn't ask to have clean ones after 3 days we were already staying there - and that was the only time they did so during our stay (8 days). Pretty disappointed with the whole service.

  : Biggest advantage: central location of the apt. Next time I would like to get apt. no. 3 that was pictured upon my reservation but I got apt. no. 4. The cleaning lady was nice and helpful.
  : Furniture in apt. no 4 is quite old and could be changed. The toilet needs change, too: it is noisy and long flushing. And flushing without toilet paper is quite strange, I have never encountered such issue but ok.

  : 1) I have never seen prices this low in Portugal.2) Incredibly convenient location in the very centre of the city.
  : It was too small, too hot, not clean (floor, bathroom, etc - and the cleaning lady, although came to clean it very rapidly after I complained, did not clean anything). I mean, the floor had hair on it. The bathroom sink had hair from a shaver. I have never rented an accomodation so dirty.When I checked in, there were no towels! And the shower drain wasn't working.The owner, or perhaps a manager, responded quickly and brought towels, and also replaced a broken bin in the bathroom and brought a drain declogger. But still...My main concern is the cleanliness. The cleaning lady, seriously, should be fired asap. It's in the interest of the owner of the place. There's no lift to take your luggage upstairs. If you are travelling for work, or just stopping by in Funchal for one night, and one night only, then this cheap solution may be appealing to you. In any other scenario - I cannot recommend this place.
