  : a bit noisy and old building, maybe Id like to clean room a bit more thorough, but for this money I think its ok to stay.

  : The location of the hotel is great - short walk to Gandia beach. The room was exactly as pictured and had a small balcony, with a view to the street, which was very nice. The room was clean and had air-conditioning. When I asked for an extra table, the receptionist was helpful to provide it instantly. We found parking close-by every day (low season). There are several good cafes and patisseries very close-by (2 min walk max). When these are closed, there are some vending machines in the lobby that might help (see photo below).
  : Although its advertised as reception open till midnight, once I booked I found out that in the low season the reception closes at 21:30. Since I knew that our flights will be arriving late, I notified the reception and requested the entry-pin. I was told Id get it on the day. That would have been fine if I didnt have to call them when we arrived in the airport and to remind them to provide the entry-pin. I could have done without the stress of it since the reception was due to close in half an hour and I still needed to pick up a rental car (before driving to Gandia for an hour)!There were little things I didnt like (mostly tear & wear) and they could have paid more attention to detail but its a 2-star hotel, so dont expect too much!

  : I was caught in a torrential down pour, arrived soaked from head to foot and the receptionist kept me waiting for 15 minutes while she was on the telephone with a customer? I asked if she could help me as I was cold and wet but she refused. I had done the online check in so I just wanted the code so I could dry off and come back down to pay. When she was ready I put in my card pin number and before I could choose to pay either in euro or pounds, she leant over and pressed euros. Supposing she had accidentally put a 1 in front of the figure I would have paid a hundred too much. But more than that , how dare she interfere with my transaction, her excuse was the hotel only takes euros!!! What's that got to do with me choosing how I choose my exchange rate! I've stayed at the Hugo many times as it suits my needs, its not a hotel its a pension, but I'm finished with it now. If you do book , expect about 6 emails for each booking, that I've never been able to figure out as they are all identical.

  : The day we arrived, the flight was delayed. No one at the hotel. We didnt have any number, just an email-not responses, not emergency number outside, no code to entrance. We had to find a place to stay at 11:30 p.m. in April, everything was closed, we didnt know anything. Bad administration!
