  : Room smelt of stale cigarettes Receptionist just stood and offered no help to a man with a broken leg trying to use the rotating door that wasn’t working. Also cigarette burns on the spare blanket that also smelt of stale smoke. Very poor

  : The location is good, although a fair way from Sol (main Madrid) there were plenty of amenities close to the hotel. Supermarket, restaurants and a public outdoor pool across the road. There are good transport links nearby to get around. The hotel itself is clean and comfortable, if a bit basic. We stayed here for the Mad Cool festival which was easy to get to via taxi for under 10 euro. The staff are friendly and we were able to get a later check out for free which was very helpful. If we go to the festival again we would stay here. It's good as a base to see a bit of Madrid.
  : The hotel is 4 star but we felt it was quite basic. The safe didn't work and we were told it would be fixed but it wasn't. Also, be careful of the windows that have a tendency to spin all the way around, I got a pretty hefty cut on my shoulder from standing close to it as it spun around.There are no tea/coffee making facilities in the room, but there is a hairdryer so I'd advise swapping the hairdryer for a small kettle in your case. There is a coffee vending machine downstairs but its quite expensive and the bar and restaurant are closed until September. I went to the local McDonald's every morning for coffee.
