  : The location is great, in a lovely area of Gijon by the square and near the marina and sea side. Plenty of bars, restaurants and market nearby.
  : Where can I start. The photos of the hotel have nothing to do with the reality of this property. The hotel looks tired and dilapidated from the outside. This is hotel that should have been done up and modernised thirty years ago. We requested a double bed and were given a twin room instead. We were offered a double on the sixth floor, which must be a pet friendly floor. There was a dog barking its head off when we went to look at the room, so decided not to stay on that floor. The alternative room also smelled of dog the moment we walked in. The room that we decided to keep on the third floor was old, tired and wouldnt have looked out of place in a 1960s convent. Old oak doors, NET CURTAINS, dated bathroom with mildew, the bathroom and room generally was tired and neglected. Clean yes, a comfortable stay, far from it. This place is probably good for pensioners on a bus trip and small budget, not for young sophisticated travellers, so dont be fooled by the four stars. This is NOT a four star hotel, three maximum and that is being generous. At the end of the day I was dreading coming back to the room, since the idea of spending just one night in this dreadful place depressed me.

  : Breakfast, we went out to get it, breakfast here is not very good. Room was very good overall: good beds, good a/c, good bathroom, horrible wifi unstable, not possible to stream or have zoom meetings
  : The man at the reception with the name Wenceslao was really rude and insulting. I asked him about directions to park the car and he said my questions made no sense but that as they say "the client is always right" I was allowed to ask stupid questions on and on, he showed no empathy and kept on repeating that we were stupid for not understanding his words. let me tell you that I am fluent in Spanish so there is no misunderstanding. My first language is Spanish. He was awful and made us feel upset, he should not be in a place where he deals with people.

  : We stayed in the modern part of the hotel. The room was very spacious with a very large, comfortable bed and a good sized bathroom. The location was perfect and the staff were very friendly.
  : The paintwork on walls could be freshened up to make it look cleaner in places.

  : Love old world charming hotels and this is one!!!! Fab location and so so clean. Didn't eat there but menus looked lovely
  : It wasn't a deal breaker but I found the bed somewhat uncomfortable, a bit hard and feel it would have benefitted from a thicker mattress. TV wasn't working but again not a deal breaker and we didn't even mention it to the staff.
