Mt. Hood Escape

  : The location was close to Mt Hood. The apartment was spacious and clean. The washer and dryer were wonderful to have. There was a dishwasher as well! There were enough pots and pans and bowls to cook dinner in the apartment one evening. The ice maker and cold, clean, delicious water from the tap was so nice.
  : NO AIR CONDITIONING: It got very warm, and the proximity to the highway made for listening to traffic drive by in order to cool the room at night. We found a fan to put by the window that slowly worked to cool off the room, but it took some considerable time to get comfortable enough to fall asleep each night. There is also a fair bit of noise in the complex that penetrates the apartment, especially when the lack of air conditioning requires the windows to be open. We were there in the summer, and there seemed to be a lot of teenagers(appeared to be skiers) hanging out in the streets of the complex playing games and music in the late afternoons/ evenings. Also, the complex is right next to the highway... the highway isn’t really visible, but it’s certainly audible. If you are a light sleeper and/or temperature sensitive, you might want to stay somewhere else. If neither of those things are really a concern, it was a great place.
