  : The bed was facing the window instead of the dresser/TV, which we thought was weird. You were able to tilt the television towards the bed - otherwise we would’ve asked for a different room.We never ate their breakfast. It was pre-made “egg” and cheese and “smoked sausage” that looked more like sliced kielbasa. I was going to just get some fresh fruit one morning and ALL the bananas were totally green. After the first cup of complementary (24 hour) coffee, we didn’t have another. It was as though something other than coffee was mixed into it that made it sour…yuck! Honestly for near $200/night they didn’t even give us a bottle of water.

  : Professional, friendly staff who made an extra effort to see if everything was to our liking. Everyone smiled, made eye contact and seemed genuinely happy to help. The location was convenient to shops, dining, and a beautiful downtown. While we did not eat breakfast, we did grab coffee. The kitchen was well stocked, clean, and again, complete with smiling and helpful employees. We had a wonderful experience and will definitely recommend Hampton Inn & Suites-Downtown-Riverplace to friends and family.
  : We could not adjust our thermostat lower than 69; not sure if that was just in our room or if it is a universal setting for the entire hotel. Not a big deal, but being post menopausal certainly creates a dramatic temperature regulating dilemma on a regular basis LOL.

  : Great location, very accommodating staff. ‘Betty’ who ran the breakfast area was especially pleasant and helpful.
  : The common areas (despite the hot weather outdoors) were FAR too cold. Need to ratchet it up a few degrees.
