  : Signal cottage was spotless, comfortable and very well stocked. The estate is lovely and there was hardly anyone in the pool or on the tennis court, both of which our children loved. The family who own the estate were extremely helpful. There was a lot to do in the local area.

  : We were met by Penny, our friendly, helpful host. The cottage is like a smaller version of a home from home which is well equipped. It was like living in a small historical village. Nice heated outdoor swimming pool. Comfortable beds with white linen, good blackout blinds, good quality, large, thick towels. Dog friendly and we loved seeing the beautiful horses in the fields. Nice local walks. Good amount of tourist information provided and a very nice welcome basket with some local products.

  : Peaceful and well maintained estate with a lovely swimming pool and tennis court, which our 7 year old loved (although Andy Murray wont lose any sleep over his tennis skills!) Hosts were available if needed and very friendly. Easy access to York, Knaresborough and Harrogate via the train from Poppleton.
