  : The staff are fantastic. Very friendly and helpful.The rooms are all different and quirky and very clean.Enjoyed some lovely food during the stay - the Crab Linguine was so tasty. It was piled high with lots of very fresh crab. The breakfasts are super tasty too. I love the fact everything is locally sourced.Definitely recommend.
  : The bathroom had a Japanese soak tub in it. Being a little on the short side, I found it difficult to climb in and out.The Alma Inn were amazing when approached about this and happily moved us to a room with a standard walk-in shower.

  : Very friendly and helpful staff, good food at a reasonable price, great location which is handy for trains and the waterfront. There was a family event in the evening, with accordion music. A very happy atmosphere.
  : The room was pretty small but the website made that perfectly clear, so not really an issue. Couldn't consider an early night as my room was immediately above the bar. TG

  : Dining was very good. Had nice vegan option. Rooms were comfortable. Staff was friendly. They made us very nice breakfast which we could quickly eat before departing to the ferry.
  : Shower was cold in the evening. Too much towels and cushions. Felt like a lot of unnecessary laundry for just one night.

  : Charming old building, good location, easy to find parking in the street nearby. The meal in the pub was very good. Also a proper English breakfast.
  : The lock on the bathroom door in the family suite was useless, and it was difficult to carry heavy bags to the top floor on the narrow stairs with the low ceiling. It comes with the charm of an old building, but could be useful information for some. One of the single beds was also uncomfortable with a big drop in the middle. The other single bed and the double bed was great, though.

  : This is an ancient building on several levels, beams, low ceilings, some steep stairs and so on, but none of that was a problem. The room was a well-converted roof-space seemingly not long done, with new decorations, carpet and shower-room fittings.
  : The bathroom has been done as a wet-room but presented the problem that when using the shower, however careful, water splashed about, on to the towel rail and floor, the latter only draining slowly, so that the next person using the place had all that to contend with. All the rooms are different, so this may not be a general problem The roof light in the bedroom is quite small so there isn't a great deal of natural light there. We were disappointed in a) the main dish of the evening meal, a lamb chop, which although delicious in taste was quite chewy and had an enormous amount of bone with it, leaving very little meat. A pity. and b) the bacon of the cooked breakfast was very hard and seemed to be like cardboard.
