  : My original booking was for a room with shared bathroom, I was given a free upgrade to a beautiful family room as the common bathroom was under repair. I appreciate the kind gesture offered by the staff. Apart from that, the restaurant was great for dinner, the facilities at the hotel were pretty good and classy. I would love to go back and stay here again, and would recommend it to others.
  : The staff were overworked and super busy, as indicated in previous reviews. I was checked in to my actual booking for a room with the shared bathroom. At that time the bathroom had all kinds of repair equipment inside, and the staff said this will be cleaned up in 30 minutes and he disappeared. I waited for an hour to use the bathroom, and still there was no change. So then I had to go back to complain and finally they gave me a free upgrade! These 2 rooms were quite different from each other, in terms of look and design, and they also belonged to different buildings. I guess you have to pay more to get the good room :)

  : The hotel with a delightful restaurant is in a lovely location and it is easy to get into the centre of Heidelberg by tram. The room which my son and I slept in was very basic, quiet and had 2 beds which we wanted. It was also great to have a kettle so we could have a cup of tea in the morning. The check in was easy and fast which we liked. We asked the owner if we could leave our luggage the next day while we looked around Heidelberg and we picked it up later which was very kind of him.
  : We knew we had a shared bathroom and that was fine but it was a shame there was no lock on the door.
