  : Staff were helpful and the room was comfortable.
  : The food was mediocre. The Jefferson Restaurant and Taproom has the best food on the property. Everything else is just so so and not worth the cost in my opinion.

  : Unfortunately the computer system had been hacked and for the first day, I couldn’t even get in my room without someone running to open my door. Also, unable to schedule any spa treatments.

  : Check in was great. The spa was great. The breakfast buffet did not disappoint. The holiday decorations were lovely.
  : We heard, "Sorry, we're out of that" more often than we expected. No iceberg lettuce for a wedge salad? No scallops for the shrimp and scallops dinner? Being out of a specifically listed bourbon for a Manhattan...ok. The wait staff was unimpressive, the food was mediocre at best and downright disappointing overall. Given the reputation of the Homestead and the experiences I enjoyed there before Omni took over, I'd have expected stellar service and food. To be clear, we ate at Jefferson's Restaurant for both lunch and dinner. I booked a dinner reservation there specifically because the website stated that the main dining room was closed on Sundays. We discovered (after dinner) that the main dining room had been opened to accommodate demand, but how anyone was supposed to know it was open is a mystery. The maitre d' even said, "We didn't know ourselves until the last minute. So sorry."We'll probably go back, but we won't ever eat at Jefferson's Restaurant again and I'd advise anyone staying there to dine elsewhere before considering it.

  : Even staying at the hotel, all restaurants had NO reservations open??? The Spa was HORRIBLE-freezing rooms, staff that was not friendly or helpful.

  : resort was clean and beautiful but the staff was not knowledge about locations and direction
  : there was no casino and bowling alley on site ...first night I was told it was not open yet and she did not know the daily operating hours . We decided over dinner to see a movie instead thinking we would go after that but we were tired and went to our room....next day repeated the same ... no one could tell us what time it opened . I finally went to the front desk to find out it was under construction .... that should have been disclosed. I think we should be compensated there was literally nothing to do after our 5:00 diner hour. Hot tub at the pool was not hot...we spent 1000 at the spa but the pool was not heated ....it just seemed they were not up to their normal standards $5000 weekend should have been amazing ....but it wasn't and the front desk could care less. This was not Omni special either .

  : You can tell there’s lots of history, and it feels great to know that but there are somethings that need upkeep or maintenance. For example, the spa “thermal” circuit sauna and the herbal cocoon. These felt dirty and there wasn’t really any steam coming out of it
  : The lack of upkeep in some areas. Also lack of good healthy food options. The one night we stayed we weren’t able to dine at the Jefferson’s restaurant because it was all booked. Our other options were an overflow buffet and/or market pizza.
