  : Palmas del mar is a beautiful villacomplex on the northeast side of the island. The complex is close to the ocean and has plenty of activities for allages.
  : The villa we stayed in was regretfully uncleaned and unsanitized. The villa shows signs of being nothing but an economical investment to the owner. It started with the us not being able to use the airconditioning in one bedroom, which really wasnt a big concern for us given the fresh sea air. What we thought was interesting was us having to send a recording of the noise the air conditioner was making in order to be believed. That was resolved after us sending the owner the recording.The vill is niceøy decorated, but hadnt been cleaned or sanitized. The stair wall right after the entrance was stai ed and sticky. The bathroom floors on the masterbedroom and the second floor floor hadnt been cleaned. The were dusty and sandy. The floors looked like they hadnt been mopped for a while. Both floor rugs on these bathrooms were dirty. They hadnt been washed. In addition to this, the sliding doors in two bedrooms were unhinged and couldnt be used. The door leading to one of the balconies didn’t open. There was ild dust and on the windowledges, etc. One of the bunkbeds, a towek holder and glassdoor of a closet were broken. We paid $633,- for two nights and felt we had overpaid given the conditions of the villa. When we made the owner aware if these issues she blew up on us on the phone. We asked for a price reduction given that the villawasn’t to standard but thus was out if the question. We were given the option to have someone cone by and clean the villa, or vacate. These weren’t real options for us given that there were other issues with the villa and we really couldn’t vacate cause we were attending my sister’s wedding at the Wyndham and regret for everything else was booked. I was there with my hubs, brother and two teenage daughters and told her we couldn’t just leave w/o a place to stay. I’ve rented many homes before and this is thefirst time I experience such preposterous behavior/reaction from an owner.
