Traveller Type: Family with Young Children
  : Small clean cabin. Easy to check in and out. The surroundings were lovely beautiful. The road to the place for just a tiny bit was gravel, but completely normal one.
  : The cabin was much smaller than we imagined, still ok though. What I disliked the most was a sign on the wall that said if you don't want after yourself the dishes and remove the sheets, they will charge 10k kronas, which sounded very pushy and not friendly, also probably not very legal, as I assume they can't just charge money. We left the property extremely clean but still felt that those things should be kindly asked rather that reinforced like that, especially removing the sheets. Luckily they didn't ask us to wash and dry them as well.

  : The location was so nice, peaceful, and we were lucky to have sunny weather when we were which made for an excellent evening where we used the gas grill to make food and had dinner with wine in the sun

  : The setting is beautiful
  : When I booked this place I read the following description. "This holiday home includes 1 bedroom, kitchen, a terrace and 1 bathroom with a shower. I therefore believed it had a seperate bedroom, but this was not the case at all." It is basically a tiny cabin with a bed of 2 matrasses a metre away from the kichen top. No space for a suitcase or luggage, which meant we had to leave it all in our car and had to take out what we needed for the two nights. No space in the bathroom for washing bags as the sink cupboard had 24 toilet roles in it. It was clean, modern and quite newish and the bathroom was fine. Not really made to cook as it it tiny and there is only a tiny table right next to the bed. This is fine if the weather is fine so you can sit outside and enjoy the views but it is Iceland. The bed space is quite small but there are good matrasses. I would say if you like camping and come for a few days it is perfect, but this is not what we expected and therefore were very disappointed. After a long day of driving, hiking and sightseeing we needed a bit more. We fellt this was glorified glamping and therefore not great value. Paying over 200 Euros a night for this accommodation is too much. Misleading advert should be changed. I also tried to email the owner with questions several months before travelling but never got a reply so communication was also poor.

  : Cozy and well designed cabins tucked away from the main road. Bbq grill at each cabin
  : There was a hot plate for cooking, but no instructions on how to use it and we could not turn it on.

  : Overall this place was passable, nothing spectacular.
  : An information sheet or book to orient us to the place would have been helpful. For instance, it was challenging to get the door locked at night. Also, we have no experience with the heating system & there are no instructions on how to turn it on. When I contacted the owner to ask about it, I got no reply. This place is adequate as a place to lay your head after a busy day of sightseeing. With a little more attention to detail, this place could be great. For example, there was a Kuerig coffee machine, but no coffee pods. Beyond basic pots & pans for cooking, there were no cooking staples beyond salt & pepper. It would have been helpful to know this ahead of time since this place is not that close to a store.

  : When you want to feel like home, this isnt the right apartment for you. All in the room is white. No pictures, no flowers nothing that makes you feel like home. You feel that this place is just a logistic-solution. Even the wardrobe is dramatically false placed - if you want to dry your clothes in the night, you cant even use the wardrobe (above the heater), because the wardrobe with a jacket would block the sun louvre. Its just a simple room with some furniture. Also i was a Little Bit disappointed that there was no French press. The shower door was also defected and one light wasnt working. 24 house before check-out we asked for a later check out about 1 hour. No answer - nothing. Only positive: If you just want to sleep and want a little bit more than a hotel room it might be okay.

  : New and cozy place.Everything you need is there.
  : Ventilation need to be improved especially when you cooking or showering as windows getting foggy.But that is small issue

  : Comfortable after driving around and seeing the sights. The stand-alone rooms are pretty good.
  : Not that I didnt like this aspect, but the stand-alone rooms are sort of in the middle of nowhere in a field. But they have electricity and water/shower and all the things you need for a room.

  : Very comfortable with kitchen facilities. Much needed in Iceland. My friend left his mobile in apartment. The owner was very kind and arranged herself to send it to Reykjavik for us to collect at the end of our trip.
